Carol Farmer, MA. LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor with experience in supporting substance abuse, gambling addiction and eating disorder populations with co-occurring mental health issues such as depression and anxiety. Carol’s clinical passion and expertise lies in empowering people who have survived trauma to create a personal sense of safety within themselves and their environment, while healing the impact of past traumatic experiences that continue to affect them today.

Carol has worked in a variety of treatment settings including intensive outpatient and inpatient. She is skillful in helping people achieve full and lasting recovery through the use of many therapeutic modalities including Sand Tray Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR). Carol received her EMDR training through the EMDR Institute and is working toward EMDR Certification.
