Lorenza “Lory” Treviño, LPC-S

Mrs. Lorenza “Lory” Treviño was raised in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas and is the daughter of migrant farm workers. She was the eighth-born child of ten. Very early on in life, she realized that hard work and dedication were the keys to success. She pushed herself, graduated with honors, and was the first in her family to graduate from a four-year university with a Bachelors in Music degree. While working as a Band Director at several Valley High schools, Lory discovered that her students needed a trusted adult they could talk to about their worries and concerns.  Having found her true calling, Lory decided to become a counselor. She completed her Masters in Education-Guidance & Counseling degree and served as a school counselor for ten years. Later, she earned her LPC License in in 2006 and opened her private practice in 2008. Lory was contracted to provide services for the local mental health authority over a span of eight years while maintaining a caseload of private patients. She served her community at her private practice before taking a break to work at a local public school district as a Licensed Professional Counselor serving students in need and providing crisis response training to school employees for six years. Today, Lory continues to serve the same school district and has resumed her private practice after hours. Moreover, Lory is happily married and is the proud mother of two thriving ROTC Cadets/college students.  Lory expects to continue serving South Texas residents and others faithfully, her motto being: “Helping you find peace, your peace of mind is my mission.”
