I am board certified in Clinical Psychology and in Behavioral Sleep Medicine. Since 1981 I have been a Professor at Howard University and am the author of over 50 scientific papers and 3 books. My therapy style is to first, focus on the therapeutic alliance to make sure we are a good fit; second, to do an accurate assessment of the problem and the appropriateness and feasibility of the goals; and third, to have a treatment intervention that is personalized and very likely to achieve the desired outcomes. I have lectured all over the US and Europe on Family Therapy and Individual Therapy techniques and use an approach that while practical gives deep respect to the existential, systemic and psychodynamic issues that promote and sustain well being.
