Tara Mehta, PhD

Dr. Tara Mehta is a Consultant and a Clinical Psychologist licensed in multiple states. She obtained her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Memphis and specializes in behavioral medicine (i.e., the interdisciplinary field of medicine concerned with the development and integration of psychosocial, behavioral and biomedical knowledge relevant to health and illness).

Dr. Mehta has experience working with adults on a variety of issues including adjustment and transition, anxiety, depression, and motivation. She believes in and practices a whole life approach to wellness, and she is passionate about connecting and partnering with people who are interested in change, transformation, self-awareness, and seeking a therapeutic relationship.

Dr. Mehta’s clinical experience spans the lifecycle across a wide range of settings and includes psychological testing and assessment, evaluation, individual and group psychotherapy, and consultation. Dr. Mehta has an integrative, pragmatic approach to delivering evidence-based interventions. She is guided by patient-centered principles and implements appropriately timed Behavioral, Cognitive, Motivational, and Process-Experiential interventions—all of which have empirical support for a range of problems.

Dr. Mehta offers consultation and therapy via Telemedicine/Telehealth technology and currently has limited openings for new clients residing in Ohio and North Carolina.
